Murrieta is a city in southwestern Riverside County, California, United States. According to the most recent census, Murrieta is one of the fastest-growing cities in the state!
Murrieta rose to popularity when Juan Murrieta from Spain brought a large flock of sheep to the area. Then, in 1882, a railway station was built that connected Murrieta with Southern California. This aided in the initial boom of the city, which was slowed in 1935 when the trains stopped running. In the early 1980s, growth began again with the introduction of Interstate 15.
This city has around 50 parks that provide great space for sports, picnics, trails and more. It’s also close to SoCal’s wine country, which makes it a great spot for tourists. Known for its beautiful weather, it really encapsulates what Southern California has to offer!
Its schools are known for aiming to provide a world-class education to the children of the city, and recently with the COVID-19 crisis shutting down in-person classes, the Murietta community recently came together to host a social-distancing “wave parade”.
“Teachers and families loaded into personal vehicles decorated with cheery, colorful messages, streamers and garland. The fanciful caravan followed a pre-planned parade route — that was published online ahead of time — through the school’s nearby community.” – https://bit.ly/39SXbZH
